婦女半身像 Half-Length Figure of A Woman
《地獄門》的227個雕塑中，羅丹賦予《烈士》這件作品特別重要意義，它被置於兩處：左門底部和《沉思者》右邊。羅丹發起“集合”法，將一些雕塑局部組合在一起後成為一件新的雕塑。《婦女半身像》就是個很好的例子，也是其中十分令人注目的作品。 羅丹取材於《地獄門》的《烈士》，將頭部換成一個長髮女孩的頭，即成新雕塑《婦女半身像》。 1916 年這個雕塑石膏模捐給了羅丹美術館，成為永久典藏品。
Among the 227 figures forming the Gates of Hell, Rodin attached particular importance to this one,“The Martyr”, which is featured twice: once at the bottom of the left door and again in the upper section to the right of the Thinker. We know that Rodin invented the “assembly” method, where he grouped together sections taken from several works in order to create a new sculpture. This is a striking example. Rodin took the “The Martyr” from the Gates of Hell and replaced the head with that of a young girl with long hair. Thus, he created this new sculpture: “Half-length Figure of a Woman”. A plaster cast of this sculpture was donated to the Rodin Museum in 1916, and it remains in the museum’s permanent collection.
